Swimming

Clayton and I have been working hard to get everything ready to move. Our closing date is now set for June 11. The other day we finally drained the water out of the pool. It was a hot day so we let Carter play in the water as it was coming out of the hose. He had a blast! Once the pool was drained, we realized that we really needed a little kiddie pool for Carter. He really likes playing in it, and he really likes playing with the hose when we fill it up. We are hoping the sun comes out today so we can play in it some more.
Last week after swimming lessons we went to my Aunt Bren's to see my Aunt Laura and Uncle Chuck from Indiana. We had a nice time visiting with them...and Carter had enough chocolate and sugar to last him a month. I hope you guys made it home safely, we had fun getting to spend time with you!

BUSY BUSY BUSY!!

Oh my goodness are we ever busy. We have a contract on house #2 and we have been busy getting this house ready to move out. We are taking the pool with us, so we have to take down the deck, drain the pool, keep track of all the pieces (and there's a million), and roll the pool sides up and try not to destroy the liner. We don't know if we will be able to use the same liner yet. We don't think we'll be able to match the hole for the skimmer and light back up exactly where they need to be...my suggestions was just patching those holes and then cutting new ones where they are needed. It's not going to look the prettiest, but it will save us about $200. We shall see.
I went over to the new house yesterday to measure the window so that I could get the blinds ordered for the windows. GEEZ I don't remember them being so expensive when I bought them for this house. We may end up with the vinyl blinds instead of the faux wood ones. I love the way the wood ones look, but good golly they are 3X the price of the vinyl...and we have to have them before we can stay one night in that house...we have a great view of the interstate..which means the interstate has a great view of us :)
I haven't started packing yet...I really don't know when I'll do it either. I just don't feel like it...we're only moving about 400 yards down the road which means I don't have to "pack" everything securely or anything, and it seems like it's still several weeks before the closing. I just don't have the motivation. Also, pretty much everything that we won't need between now and then is in the attic, or I've already sold it on eBay. My house is pretty bare of the unessentials. I'm just afraid I'll pack away something I'll need, and then I'll have to unpack..ugh.
Carter has been pretty sick this week...really it's the first time that he has had more than just a minor cold, and it's breaking my heart. On Wednesday when we were at swimming lessons he swallowed a bunch of water. Every time he came up he was coughing. when we got home, his diaper was just loaded with a real runny doo doo. I just assumed it was from all the chlorine. Then while he was taking his nap he threw up in his bed...poor guy. Again, I just thought it was from all the water. He was also running a fever when he woke up. He's cutting two molars on the top, so that could have been the cause for the fever. Thursday he was acting like he was feeling better...but his doo doo was NEON green! Yesterday he had diarrhea all day. His little butt cheeks are just as red as can be. As soon as I would change him, he'd go again. I called his doctor, and the nurse told me there is something going around. He hasn't ate much in the past three days, but he is drinking a lot of milk, water, and pedialite. I think he is just suffering from a combination of chlorine, teething and a bug. He seems to be feeling a little better today. He had a more normal diaper this morning, and he ate a little bit of breakfast. I'm not use to my little guy being sick...he's never had diarrhea, and he's NEVER lost his appetite! I feel so bad for him :(

Houses

I know a lot of you a wondering what the story is with the new house. Well we are trying to decided between two houses. we like both of them a whole lot. One house is a little bigger and has some features that we really like, but doesn't have a lot that is laid out the way we would like it to be for building Clayton's workshop. The other house is really nice too, but lacks a few things that the first house has that we like. It has a very managable lot for the shop and the swimming pool. Right now we are stuck deciding between the two. Some of our friends and family have seen both houses and they understand why we are so torn. Both houses are absolutely beautiful and I would love either one of them. But the first one has some details that make it stand out a little more. I think we will probably end up buying the second one because it is a little less and will work better for the shop, but only time will tell. I'll let everyone know as soon as we know!

THE SECOND HOUSE

The Master Bath...is HUGE!!

You have no idea how big that bathroom is!

JINX

Okay, so we may be getting a new house...knock on wood. I'm really just so excited about it that I can't help but show off the pictures. I KNOW that now that I've done this it won't work out and I'll be nearly heart broken but, oh well I just can't help it. The house is near by, and the guy that owns it is going to buy our house if we buy his! who could ask for more? We don't have to list our house? YAY!!! So keep your fingers crossed, we will know more by Saturday evening.

BABY KISSES ARE THE BEST!

I have the sweetest baby on the planet...no question about it! He gives kisses now. Use to when you'd ask for a kiss you'd get his forehead planted on your lips...sweet as that may sound, it was more like a head butt, and I actually came out of it with a fat lip a few times. Now when you ask for a kiss he puckers up and kisses the air.

SO, Carter and I started baby aquatics this week...hahaha. Yeah let me tell you how much fun it was. If you like to watch you're child cling to your neck with a death grip and scream into your ear at the top of his lungs for a half hour then you woulda had fun. Carter loves water, last summer he swam in our pool a bunch, and loved it. And he loved this until the teacher made him swim under the water...who knew a baby could swim? well they can...some like it...others don't. I happen to have the only one in the class who doesn't...lucky me. We go back again on Wednesday, and I'm really hoping he starts to like it. I really don't know if I can continue to make him do something that terrifies him. And I really don't want him to not want to get into our pool after this whole experience.
