Camryn's 4 Month pictures

I decided to take Camryn's pictures this month. I thought I'd just give it a wirl and see how they turned out. If they sucked, I'd take her in and pay to have them done. couldn't hurt, right? well I think they turned out pretty good! I haven't printed any yet to see what the quality is, but hopefully they'll turn out good.
so here they are:

They grow up so fast!

Today I cleaned out Camryn's closet. All of her newborn and 0-3 month outfits are now in a box. I can hardly believe she is almost 4 months old already. Seems like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant. In one year we've gone from this:

(Disclaimer: this is from last year! I'm not pregnant again!)
To This:

In other news: Clayton went back to the road this week. He had been working yard jobs since a month or so before Camryn was born, and had been able to come hone every night after work, but has decided to do some road jobs for awhile. He left yesterday to go to Ft. Scott and should be home later this evening. Road jobs, of course, pay better and we are wanting to finish up the basement with carpeting and tile, so he has to make some dough to pay for those projects : D. Carter is really noticing when daddy isn't home and he tells me daddy is working on a train. I know he misses him like crazy when he's gone and is sooo excited when he gets home! I also have been busy with ebay this week. For the first time since Camryn was born I went shopping for stuff to sell and got it all listed. it is SO much harder to get all that done with two kids wanting and needing me. But it is all listed now, so I just have to wait for the money to start rolling in..haha. I listed Carter's elephant Halloween costume this week and it sold for MORE then what I paid for it originally! yay! that is just awesome. it's like I get to return it for full price and pick out a new one for this year : D. I had a hard time deciding on his costume. Finding fuzzy cuteness in his size is very hard to do. But I know that next year he will not let ME pick his costume, and he'll want to be some ugly superhero or something like that, so I'm going to get away with fuzzy cuteness for as long as I can. Stay tuned for pics of the costume I settled on. It isn't as snuggle adorability (I made that word up) that I wanted, but it is still uber cute! Camryn is also going to be as cute as a button in her costume. You'll just have to wait and see what she is ; )

she's got new holes in her head!

My very good friend Shelly came down earlier this week to stay the night with us. We haven't seen her since carter's birthday so it was a very nice treat. She lives in Texas now, so she only comes home to missouri every so often.
Anyways while she was here we took the kids to the mall and while there we had camryn's ears pierced. she did very well. She cried at first but it wasn't bad. Once she calmed down she was just fine and hasn't acted like they bother her one bit. I'm so glad I decided to have it done. she doesn't mess with them, they look cute, and she'll never have the memory of the pain. yay!
here are some pictures

videos

Camryn can roll! she has actually been rolling from her stomach to her back for along time, like since she was just a few weeks old. but now she has mastered the back to front roll and can boogie all across the floor. this video was taken before she started the back to front roll, but it's still cute ;)

Carter is helping daddy mow grass right now...and here's a video of exactly how adorable it is :D

wow. I'm not good at this

blog thing anymore :(
Camryn is now three months old. I took both kids to get their pictures taken on Monday. Last time I took carter it turned into a mommy and carter photo shoot, but this time he stole the show. I only got three pics of Camryn and two of them together. but I got a plethora of Carter.
We went to Branson and stayed the weekend earlier this month. Clayton's parents came too. It was a nice mini-vacation. We spent time on the boat, at the pool, and went to the landing. Carter got to see the Branson train and I think that was the highlight of the weekend for him. Camryn was her usual great-baby self.
Tomorrow we are going to a wedding in St. Louis and we are going to see Clayton's grandpa. It will be the first time Camryn meets her great grandpa.

updates

Camryn is 2 months old today. Where does the time go? I swear if pregnancy went half as fast as the first few months of the baby's life it would make it sooo much easier! Life is good around here. Camryn has been sleeping through the night since she was 4 weeks old. We get up and play and eat and sleep. and then do the same things all over again the next day. *lather, rinse, repeat* and I love every minute of it. She goes on monday for her first set of shots :(. I'm sure that won't be much fun, but I know she has to have them. I'm also going to ask her doctor about getting her ears pierced. I know some pediatricians do that in their office, so I'm hoping they do too. If not, I will probably do it within a few weeks. I want to do it before she's old enough to mess with them while they heal. I've gone back and fourth about whether or not I wanted to do them as a baby or wait until she's old enough to ask for them. Well I was at the mall today. A 4 year old was in Claire's getting her ears pierced. Well, she was suppose to be getting her ears pierced. She wanted them pierced, but she was scared to death. I left before I found out if she went through with it or not, and decided right then that if Camryn's going to have pierced ears its going to be sooner rather then later. So anyhow. That's the latest from our household. Carter is a talking fool now, can't get him to be quiet ;) finally! yay!

love this mom stuff

so not too much to update on. i'm holding camryn right now, so please excuse the typos and the fact that my shift key doesn't want to work. we've been spending a ton of time in the pool lately. carter has learned to swim with assistance of floaties and an innertube, so we just let him go at it pretty much all day everyday. I've been setting camryn in the shade out there next to the pool too, and she just snoozes away. I, unfortunitly, learned the hard way that sitting in the shade doesn not guarentee that she won't get burned though. poor baby got a sun burn on her face and legs on friday while we were out there. I had read that you aren't suppose to put sunscreen on them before they're a few months old. well guess what? I'm not listening to that advice anymore. she didn't seemed bothered by it at all, which is good, because it broke my heart to see her red little nose every time i looked at her. she's recovered now, with just a little bit of peeling on her nose.

we are planning to go to the rolla carinival sometime this week. hopefully i'll have some good pictures to post. until then, chow!
